I'm a New York Italian with a passion for good food (I'm pretty good in the kitchen) and your typical dry, sarcastic East coast sense of humor. I like challenging conversation, reading and spend a lot of my time doing volunteer work for domestic and wildlife rescue organizations. Also love riding my motorcycle :-). I retired young. I'm not what I consider to be a very wealthy man, but I'm financially secure and live a simple, comfortable life. If glamorous, up scale living is your wish, I'm probably not the guy for you. I enjoy going out on the town for a good meal and fun times, but I'm much more likely to be wearing boots, jeans and a casual shirt than a suit and tie. I also like to take one or two trips a year. Sometimes overseas, sometimes exploring my own country.

Does 1+1=1? It does if you believe the best relationships are formed between people who want someone to share with vs need someone to make them feel complete. You're comfortable with yourself, and not interested in sex as a casual sport At the same time you realize there's a lot of steps between casual dating and being exclusively interested in finding your one and only soul mate. Way I look at it is that it's nice for a couple of adults who enjoy each others company to spend time together without qualifying every minute against their ideal permanent commitment standards. I get the perspective of not being into casual (intimate) dating, but aren't all initial dates best kept casual in other regards? And when you come right down to it, isn't dating necessary in order to find "The One"? In short, lets meet, make friends and see what happens and where it goes
